İzmir Free Zone, which has been continuously growing in recent years, has managed to increase its trade volume by 50 percent in the first 4 months of this year. In the January-April period of last year, the trade volume of 139 million dollars were realized. This year, same period trade volume reached 209 million dollars.

Chairman of the Board Eyup Sevimli stated that they have had a good time in the opposite direction of the crises experienced by the country's economy in recent years and said, “We have taken serious investments in the last 5 years. One of the major investments in recent years was the fertilizer plant established by Solufert. This facility, which is under investment, is built on an area of ​​approximately 60 thousand square meters.

Our trade volume, which was 208 million dollars in 2016, increased by 68 percent in 2017 and reached 351 million dollars. With this growth rate in 2017, we were the first among all free zones in Turkey. In 2018, we increased our trade volume to 491 million dollars with a 40 percent increase. This year, we are targeting a volume of $ 650 million with an increase of 30 percent. We are ahead of our targets in the first 4 months. Our total trade volume, which was 139 million dollars in the first 4 months of last year, was 209 million dollars in the first 4 months of this year. We achieved a growth of around 50 percent. We can exceed our target at the end of the year. We anticipate that the major increase in our trade volume will be due to the commissioning of the facilities under construction. ”
