İZBAŞ Exceeded the 1 Billion Dollar Limit

İzmir Free Zone (İZBAŞ), which creates value for İzmir and the Turkish economy with its hosting of international companies, announced its 2022 business results. İZBAŞ, whose transaction volume has increased more than five times in the last six years, is closing the year 2022 with a 38 percent growth; Its exports reached 535 million dollars and the total employment it provided reached 5 thousand 227.

Evaluating the operational results of İZBAŞ in 2022, Chairman of the Board Eyüp Sevimli stated that they completed the year with satisfactory results despite the recession risks in the global economy, and stated that they exceeded the limit of 1 billion dollars in transaction volume and closed the year 2022 with a transaction volume of 1 billion 232 million dollars.

CLUSTERING CENTER IN RENEWABLE ENERGY

Emphasizing that they are among the free zones in Turkey that work best and create the highest added value, MR. Sevimli pointed out that İZBAŞ, which hosts the largest wind turbine blade factory in Europe, is on its way to becoming a cluster center in the renewable energy sector's equipment production.

Noting that in 2023, when the 100th anniversary of the Republic will be celebrated, they set their target as 750 million dollars in exports and 1.5 billion dollars in transaction volume, MR. Sevimli added that they want to double İZBAŞ by purchasing a land of 1 million 515 thousand square meters, which they see as a growth area.

Chairman of the Board İZBAŞ Eyüp Sevimli, made the following assessment:

“We have been working hard for about three years in the presence of relevant institutions and public authorities to make the 1 million 515 thousand square meter land, which we are border neighbors and which gained legal personality as the 'Menemen Free Zone' last year, to become the growth area of ​​İZBAŞ. Of course, as İZBAŞ, we are also interested in the tender to be held on this land. Our in-house companies are also looking forward to the acquisition of this land by İZBAŞ and announcing it as our expansion area in order to clarify their decisions in their new investment and growth plans.”

PLUG&PLAY MODEL IN GROWTH AREA

Eyüp Sevimli, after the free zone has an expansion area; said that they will be able to bring the region to investors in a short time by quickly completing infrastructure services such as electricity, natural gas, treatment and water, which are already overcapacity.
