Izmir Free Zone Continuing Education Center continues its series of conferences that will create value for the participating companies in the Zone. The conference titled "Finance, Risk Management, Internal Audit and Management in Businesses" organized in this context was held at İZBAŞ Conference Hall.

İZBAŞ Financial and Legislation Advisor Prof. Dr. Keramettin Tezcan at the conference moderated by; TRASTA CEO, Certified Public Accountant Bülent Görer, TRASTA Managing Partners Özgün Çınar and Dr. Kemaleddin Dilbaz took part as a speaker.

In his speech at the opening of the conference, İZBAŞ Chairman of the Board Eyüp Sevimli said; pointed out that proactive management of risks and internal control mechanisms in accordance with national and international standards is of critical importance for the sustainable success of companies' corporate structures.

Sevimli noted that their main goal was to contribute to businesses making sound economic and financial decisions at the conferences within İZSEM, and emphasized that the structural problems of the Turkish economy revealed variables beyond the control of industrialists as serious risk factors.

TRASTA CEO, Certified Public Accountant Bülent Görer, stated that in today's world where there is high level of uncertainty, the financial literacy level of business managers has become vital. Stating that financial approaches have changed completely in this context, Görer said, “In the past, it was sufficient to submit financial statements to the tax offices, but today it is about financial planning; While in the past it was sufficient to make a balance sheet and income statement, today it has evolved into making budget analyses, profit distribution and cash flow statements.” said.

Within the scope of the conference, TRASTA Managing Partner Dr. Kemaleddin Dilbaz shared his experiences under the title of "Public Offering and Capital Markets", which has been frequently on the agenda of the business world lately. Dilbaz emphasizes that going public processes offer significant advantages for businesses in terms of financing, liquidity, promotion, institutionalization, secondary public offering opportunity, credibility and globalization; He gave information about the basic regulations in the CMB and Stock Exchange legislation regarding public offering processes.

TRASTA Managing Partner Özgün Çınar shared his experiences with the participants under the title of "Risk Management and Internal Audit in Businesses". Çınar added that Risk Management and Internal Audit processes are not separate disciplines; He pointed out that the Certified Irregularity Auditors Association's study covering 133 countries and 2,110 cases revealed that 5 percent of turnover is lost due to irregularities every year.
