İZBAŞ Purchased 153,000 Square Meters of Land, Expanding Investment Area by 10%

Izmir Free Zone, one of the leading industrial regions in Izmir for production and exports, continues its growth-focused investments as the occupancy rate surpasses 90%.

İZBAŞ, which purchased 153,000 square meters of land adjacent to the Free Zone, will expand its investment area by 10%. After the official approval of the land's free zone status by the Ministry of Trade, İZBAŞ will quickly begin infrastructure investments.

Eyüp Sevimli, the Chairman of the Board of İZBAŞ Izmir Free Zone Foundation and Operator Inc., provided information about the region’s growth plans. He emphasized that companies focused on exports and high value-added production are the target of their investments. Sevimli pointed out that due to the occupancy rate exceeding 90%, there was very limited space left for new investments. Therefore, they quickly implemented the investment plan to expand the free zone by 10%.

Investor Interest in İZBAŞ is Increasing

Emphasizing that the bureaucratic processes required for the integration of the purchased land into the Free Zone are progressing quickly, Sevimli stated, "One of the most important issues in cities with strong industrial infrastructure like Izmir is the severe lack of planned and fully equipped industrial zones for new investments. With our new land, we are working to add another well-planned, fully infrastructured production area to Izmir and the Turkish economy. The increasing investor interest in İZBAŞ is pushing us to implement our growth plans."

Eyüp Sevimli also added that many local and foreign-invested companies are in discussions about planning investments in İZBAŞ. He reminded that the region's easy access to qualified labor resources, located just 40 minutes from the city center of Izmir, is one of the key reasons for its preference.

Existing Infrastructure Will Be Rapidly Integrated

Eyüp Sevimli made the following statement:
