İZBAŞ is the New Cluster Address of Clean Energy

Stating that they closed the last year with records, İZBAŞ Chairman MR. Sevimli said, “We have set a transaction volume of 1.5 billion dollars and an export target of 750 million dollars this year. We will grow at least two times by purchasing the land declared as Menemen Free Zone.

Hosting the investments of international companies and breaking records in export and foreign trade volume, İzmir Free Zone (İZBAŞ) is taking firm steps towards becoming one of the new cluster addresses of the renewable and clean energy sector. Chairman of the Board Eyüp Sevimli stated that the transaction volume realized in 2022 increased by 38 percent, exceeding the level of 1 billion dollars for the first time, reaching the level of 1 billion 232 million dollars, and emphasized that they realized the highest export of all time with 535 million dollars.

DOUBLE GROWTH POTENTIAL

Noting that they have set a transaction volume of 1.5 billion dollars and an export target of 750 million dollars in 2023, Sevimli drew attention to the fact that they have at least double the growth potential by purchasing the land adjacent to İZBAŞ and declared as the 'Menemen Free Zone'. Informing that they will take part in the tender process to be held this year for a land of 1 million 515 thousand square meters, Eyüp Sevimli said that after the free zone has an expansion area, they can quickly complete infrastructure services such as electricity, natural gas, treatment and water, which are already overcapacity, and they can bring the region to investors in a short time

INVESTOR AND WE ARE READY

Pointing out that İZBAŞ's current capacity is more than ready to meet the needs of the new area, Sevimli made the following assessment regarding the expansion area: “Domestic and foreign companies that want to invest in our country are in great need of industrial areas with ready infrastructure and international quality service. We have reached the investment saturation limit in our current İZBAŞ field. If we include the expansion area within our borders and continue to serve as a single free zone, it is possible to rapidly allocate the new area to investments with high added value and needed by our country's economy. The main and sub-industry sectors in the renewable and clean energy sector are at the forefront of these investment areas. Our subsidiaries are also looking forward to the acquisition of this land by İZBAŞ, to be included in our region and to be declared as our expansion area, in order to clarify their decisions in their new investment and growth plans. In the 100th anniversary of our Republic, we will give good news to our country and our city.”

OUR GOALS WITH BUREAUCRACY WE SHARE

İZBAŞ Chairman Eyüp Sevimli reminded that they constantly shared their evaluations with the upper bureaucracy of the Ministry of Commerce, to which they are affiliated, about the land that they see as an expansion area and that will be put out to tender under the name of 'Menemen Free Zone'. Stating that they have a very close relationship with all bureaucracy, especially the General Directorate of Free Zones, Keskin said, “We visited our Free Zones General Manager Emel Emirlioğlu and Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagay in January, together with our board of directors, and shared our projects in their offices, it is great to receive their open support. we were happy.
